SEACOAST UNITED SPORTS CLUB WEEKLY UPDATE: MAY 29, 2020

Dear Seacoast United Families and Friends,

On behalf of all of my colleagues at the club, I hope all of you are all safe and well and can see a little more light at the end of the tunnel as we move into June. This has been an extremely difficult time for everyone and I hope the opportunities to allow us back on the field in the coming days will see many smiles on the kids’ faces as they play sports with their friends and coaches.

I would like to thank our entire staff for all of the work they have done these past couple of months. So much goes on behind the scenes dealing with other clubs, leagues, facilities, scheduling, communication, etc. and everyone has played their part. Between the online curriculum, Zoom calls, and various other initiatives, we have done everything we can to make sure that your child remained engaged and a part of our organization. Our Seacoast United athletes have demonstrated time and time again why they are leaders, both on and off the field, and you only have to look at some of the #InThisTogether and #TheSeacoastWay videos to see firsthand why they are special.

I would also like to extend my thanks to our COVID-19 task force who has met this challenge head on. Since the beginning of May, they have been working around the clock with local, state and federal public health authorities and going above and beyond in familiarizing themselves with all of the procedures. Each state has handled this situation differently and our team has done a fantastic job of not only navigating the situation, but putting us in a position to roll out the start of our modified programming. If it weren’t for our task force team and dedicated staff members we would not be playing next month so it goes without saying they have been instrumental in getting us to where we are today.

Finally, and most importantly, I would like to thank you the parents for your support and understanding these past few months. No one could have anticipated what this was going to bring and how it was going to affect us all. I do not know of anyone or any company who has not been impacted by this pandemic and with that brings a tremendous amount of stress and uncertainty. Seeing the players back on the field with their teammates is something all of our staff are excited to see and we will do everything to keep them safe, active and engaged.

Our dedicated team has been updating things in accordance with the various guidelines and all of the club directors are in direct contact with their respective coaches, players and families. For the latest information please click on one of the below links:

We are adopting a staged approach to reopening, in alignment with the guidelines provided by the State of New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. Company policies will be updated as additional information and resources become available so please continue to refer to this section of the website for the most up to date information.

We are certainly not in the clear and things will continue to evolve in the coming days/weeks. There are a lot of moving parts and we are doing everything we can to ensure that we return safely. From the onset, the safety of every Seacoast United staff member, player, family and community we serve has been of the upmost importance and we will continue to make that the priority. We will look to send out additional information in the coming days with updates on all of the above. In the meantime, thank you once again for everyone’s support during this time. I am grateful to everyone involved in our organization and I know we will embrace this next chapter. Stay safe, stay strong and above all else, stay positive. We are in this together.

Warmest Regards,

Paul Willis
