Before Eryn Doiron was breaking records for the Maine Maritime Women’s Soccer Team she was growing up in the Farmington area with her incredibly supportive family. Eryn is a senior midfielder for the MMA Women’s Team who is ranked #1 in the Northeast Atlantic Conference and according to Eryn they are hungry as ever. “We had a tough loss last year in an upset, so we are eager to bring home a conference title this year.”
Doiron grew up in Farmington, Maine and played on the pitch for the first time in a rec league in Wilton, Maine. As she got older she played for a Super Y Phoenix team, Central Maine United, and, before she went off to succeed at MMA, played for our Seacoast United Maine U-17 team. Eryn was coached by our current Girls Director, Branden Noltkamper, and added that Seacoast attributed to her reasoning for choosing Maine Maritime. “I met my life long friends and current teammates on the Seacoast U-17 team including, Lilah Chaar, Caitlin Paradis, and Autumn Accord.” Eryn also mentioned that she loved Seacoast for “...the exposure and ability to play around New England.”
Eryn recently broke the Maine Maritime Women’s single season goal scoring record, putting in fifty one goals and is adding to that total as MMA approaches the postseason. Doiron is familiar with breaking records on the pitch as she broke the Mt. Blue High School goal scoring record (50) in her teenage years. Eryn humbly gives all of the credit to her family and to her older brother Ike Doiron (Seacoast Maine and MMA alum) for her success on and off the field.
